How ePayPolicy started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
ePayPolicy is an online payment processing solution for insurance agencies (think Square, Stripe, or PayPal tailored for the insurance industry). More information can be found at epaypolicy.com.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
We have a very simple payment page that is co-branded for our clients (e.g. demo.epaypolicy.com). They love the simplicity and the fact that it's mobile compatible. The problem we are running into is confusion on the fees.
----TOP PRIORITY FOR THE DESIGN---
As an example, pull up the demo page and type 1000 in the amount field. You'll see that the fee is $32.50. If you click on the ACH button the fee changes to $3. The order of how this is laid out doesn't match the flow of the page since the user is taking an action that changes information above it. It would clear up confusion if there is some way to show that the CC fee is X and the ACH fee is Y side by side and allow them to make the change while looking at the total and comparing the fees. We'd like a design that incorporates that as priority #1.
In addition, we are going to bring in a sign up button at the top right since we are going to allow for a user to sign up/sign in so they can set up recurring payments. We'd like that incorporated as well into the design. You do not need to do any other page other than the payment page.
Also, the width of the page doesn't look quite right given the length of the horizontal lines and the labels + controls. I feel like that could be tightened up and either centered or maybe you have some other idea.
I would like the new design to incorporate the feedback outlined above.
What to avoid
Keep the same color scheme. Our users like white space.
I've attached a wireframe for the recurring payments option that will be included for signed in users.
