WineStopperStore.com
I am a 24 year old who has started a website in the online wine accessory market. This site is my passion and I pursue it in my free-time when I am not at work. I love internet marketing and I cannot wait to soon quit my day job and work on the website full time.
I majored in Electrical Engineering at college but have decided to pursue my passion for wine and online marketing with my extra energy (good thing I am still young and have time and energy for this stuff!).
The product I feature is used to help preserve a bottle of wine after it has been opened. Upon opening a bottle of wine, the cork is not designed to be reinserted into the bottle. That leaves a person with two options, either finish the bottle or use a wine stopper.
Most of the websites out there selling wine stoppers simply have one or two varieties of wine stoppers. Our goal is to provide the largest collection of the finest wine stoppers to feature and sell. We want to provide great value for our clients.
The current website is here: http://www.winestopperstore.com/
Our target audience is primarily females (perhaps 70-80%). Their ages mostly range from 25-50 and then start dropping off in numbers after 50.
There are two main types of customers. There are the wedding related people (brides, wedding planners, etc) who are buying inexpensive wine stoppers as wedding favors. The other market is individuals seeking personal gifts for friends and family.
Our target market is wine experts and rookies alike. They either want a neat method to help preserve their wine that helps show off their personality, or simply a practical party favor that enhances the theme of their party.
They want high quality pictures that detail what the wine stopper looks like. Additionally, they want to know that the item will ship quickly and what other customers have said about the products.
These are some of the most important factors in this market place.
This will not be a sales page unless someone gets further into the site. I do sell products on the site currently, but I will have potential customers fill out an opt-in offer form before the landing page directs them through to the main website. I do not currently intend to sell other wine accessory products on this site, so having the front page talk exclusively about selling wine stoppers will work.
I do want to convey through graphics that they will get a visual, simple experience with this website. I do not want there to be any confusion for the customer when it comes to what they are to do. The opt-in button should be above the fold in 1024x768 resolution. I have included logos of companies that have featured products we sell, and I have included some photos of products to use in the layout as well.
A great example of how I want the site to function is shown here: http://www.emotionaleatingtips.com/

Notice that there is nothing for sale on the main page? You actually have to click on "start now" to get to a sales message. That's how I'd like my page to function as well.
The layout will be required to support an opt-in survey page similar to this: http://www.totalmemoryimprovement.c…edNow.html
http://www.emotionaleatingsecrets.c…etKit.html
I will promptly answer any and all questions.
