kuvesh got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Website design for service provider to special needs children
Check out kuvesh's Web page design contest…
NOTE: I will be selecting a designer based on the home page design but will then enter into a 1-on-1 project to design the remainder of the site which is noted in the attached site map. I anticipate needing 3-5 unique inner page designs depending on the content plus some help with graphically presenting some of the content. ABOUT THINK KIDS: Think KIDS provides intervention and development services for children with special needs and challenging behaviours in Singapore aged between 18 months and 12 years old. Our core service offerings are (i) home-based Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and (ii) social skills training for children aged 18 months to 12 years old. Our objective at Think KIDS is to maximize the quality of life for both the concerned child and their families by implementing proven evidence-based and positive behavioural change strategies. TARGET AUDIENCE: parents of children with special needs who need help for their child; this is a specialised service focussed on higher socio-economic demographic of families. Please to attachment "About Us" for more information on our business.
No existing site for Think KIDS but our sister company is Think Psychological Service (www.think-psych.com). We want something much more impressive than the Think Psychological Services site.
We dont have a clear idea on how this site should look except we want something quite impressive. We are open to all design ideas, but please consider the following: > This is a business focussed on helping children with special needs improve their quality of life > Want a clean design with colour scheme that fits with the existing designed logo (attached). > Prefer illustration to photos. > As noted below, intention is to the key messages of who we are, what we do, why choose us, etc on our home page. We can then have links to more detailed pages on our service offerings and other information. > We may consider (not a requirement) some parallax ideas. Whilst parallax looks great, i am still undecided on whether it is too flashy for my type of service. NOTE: We offer s a professional service for parents dealing with serious child issues. There needs to a balance in the site design being delivering a confident/professional image to parents but at the same time, the site must identify with a children's service
Home page - needs to be engaging and clearly deliver the following messages: > Who we are > What we do > Why our ABA services are different to competitors > Why our Social Skills services are different to competitors > Why Think KIDS is the right choice for your child > Contact form and phone number Idea is that all key summary information is on home page and parents can then click through to more details via menus if they want. NOTE: I will be selecting a designer based on the home page design but will then enter into a 1-on-1 project to design the remainder of the site which is noted in the attached site map. I anticipate needing 3-5 unique inner page designs depending on the content plus some help with graphically presenting some of the content.
What to avoid
Needs to be both desktop and mobile friendly. Anything that slows down site loading, e.g. flash

My site needs to look better and be more engaging than my competitors. Please refer to About Us design brief for a list of our competitor's websites. I plan on engaging an SEO expert during development. Please keep in mind in case this fact influences your design recommendation.
