It's set in the very near future where a singular event caused superhumans to exist. Not all mutations are beneficial to the recipient, however. It revolves around an ex-soldier female superhuman named Nona who is invulnerable. She is a loner who fights hand to hand, rides a motorcycle, and doesn't take crap from anyone. She is forced to team up with a male superhuman who can move matter with his mind and runs a private detective agency. The book revolves around her investigating the disappearance of her superintelligent sister, a superhuman cult driving the downfall of old humans, and corporate greed from biotech corps that abuse desperate superhumans to take advantage of their powers and their biology.
